The RedLine series from Escort is one of the most highly regarded radar detectors of recent years and has received many positive customer reviews. With the RedLine EX radar detector, Escort improves on a classic by developing a modern colour display and an improved false-alarm filter.

Improved false-alarm filter

With the introduction of driver assistance systems in modern cars, radar detectors faced additional problems and frequent false alarms, since the assistance systems use frequencies similar to those of conventional speed traps. The Escort RedLine EX recognises the signals of the driver assistance systems and separates them from the signals of genuine speed traps, thus avoiding unnecessary false alarms.

AutoLearn technology

The AutoLearn function of the RedLine EX combines GPS location information with the unique frequency range of the radar signals received. As a result, the radar detector automatically recognises false alarms and can filter them in future. You will hear fewer false alarms, even if you do not manually mark these locations as false alarms. After a false alarm has occurred three times at the same location, that location is filtered fully automatically in future by means of GPS positioning.

Fast visualisation of hazards

The new OLED display gives you a quick and clear overview of relevant information on incoming hazard alerts. Clear symbols and an additional LED provide an excellent visual warning for added protection. The brightness of the display can be adjusted in steps from bright to dark, and the colour can be customised.

Two antennas for excellent reception

Two radar antennas give you the earliest possible warnings for all European frequencies. The new GATSO, Multaradar CT (MRCT) / Multaradar CD (MRCD) / MultaRadar Moving and Gatso speed traps are also detected early. The Redline EX is also equipped with several laser sensors, including a special laser receiver for detecting a speed measurement from behind. Patented digital signal processing analyses incoming transmissions and filters out noise, which minimises annoying false alarms.

GPS POI warner with Europe speed camera database

The RedLine EX International is supplied with a pre-installed database of fixed speed and red-light cameras and section control zones throughout Europe. The integrated GPS receiver and the Europe database also reliably report permanently installed speed traps. Database updates can be downloaded and installed at any time. You need a subscription and a Windows®-based computer to update the RedLine EX database.

Practically invisible to detection

TotalShield technology ensures that you cannot be located. Even the current VG2 and Spectre radar detector detectors used by the police cannot locate the Escort radar detector. With this additional advantage, you can use the Escort Redline EX with peace of mind.

Connect your smartphone via Bluetooth

With the built-in Bluetooth interface, you can easily pair the Escort radar detector with your phone and connect it to the Escort Live app.

Saving your own danger spots and automatic muting

At the press of a button, you can save your own danger spots. The RedLine EX will warn you at these locations in future as soon as you approach them. Or press the mute button at a location where you do not wish to be warned in future. The Redline radar detector remembers the GPS coordinates and the radar frequency and mutes the alert the next time you drive past that location. If a different radar frequency is received at this location, for example from a speed trap, the Escort EX will still warn you in future.

User-friendly operation

The RedLine EX radar detector makes it easy to use the benefits of its great technology. With two preconfigured sensitivity levels, you can set the radar detector for use in town and on the motorway. The digital voice warning is in English or Spanish, and you can use the mute function to adjust the volume or switch it off completely.

SmartCord and travel case

Your Escort RedLine EX is supplied with a travel case and a 12-volt SmartCord connecting cable for the cigarette lighter. The modern mount attaches securely to the windscreen and allows the radar detector to be fitted quickly. With the integrated LED in the SmartCord cable, you can also see warnings when the display is switched off.

Note: Although the Escort Redline has good laser reception, we recommend using an active laser blocker for reliable laser protection, e.g. AL Priority or LaserTrack Flare.

Difference to the other Escort models

According to its description, the Escort Redline 360c has twice the range of the RedLine EX and three antennas. The Escort MAX 360c is the model with a multicolour OLED display and radar at the front and rear.
