Laser jammers, also known as laser blockers or laser scramblers, are systems consisting of a control unit and one or more sensors. The sensors are mounted at the front of the vehicle, for example in the radiator grille or in the number plate holder, and respond to laser pulses. Some systems can also be used as a parking assistant. Unlike a pure laser warner, a laser jammer is a stand-alone system and is often combined with a radar detector.

When choosing, pay attention to the design of the sensors (compact, as a fibre-optic sensor or in a number plate holder), to the number of sensors you plan for the front of your vehicle, to operation via display, touch panel or smartphone app, and to expandability: the control unit of the AL Priority, for example, takes up to five sensors.
